House of Science

I have long been tethered to the house of reason,
hypothesis, testing; observation is my forte.

I am always doubtful, question my conclusions,
hold facts lightly in my hands lest they be proven incorrect,

get lost in wonder.  But I consider magic as possibility,
marvel at beauty and joy, question those things that seem

unlikely to be solved.  Do I believe in miracles?
Yes, in the sense that we may not be able to explain some things,

but not necessitating the supernatural.
I am in awe of perception,

how people can see the same things in different ways,
different even than all other sentient beings.

Reason is not a loss of fascination or wonder;
it enhances captivation.
