Flash fiction, or micro-fiction, is a genre of fiction in which the full story – beginning, middle, and an end – can be told in fewer than about 1,200 words. Legend has it that Ernest Hemingway told a flash fiction story in a mere six words: “For sale: baby shoes, never worn.”
